More than 1 Billion people do not have access to clean water or adequate sanitation, and 1 out of 5 of them are children. Lack of clean water is the second largest killer of children under 5.

Last year a pilot program named the TAP PROJECT, a grassroots initiative to provide clean water to children around the world was held in New York City. With over 300 restaurants involved, they raised more than $100,000 to provide 4 million children with safe and clean water. This year, the TAP PROJECT is expanding to DC Metropolitan area and Lebanese Taverna Restaurants needs your help! 

Lebanese Taverna Restaurants in Arlington, DC, Tysons Galleria and Baltimore are asking their guests to donate $1 for the tap water they normally would enjoy for free during the week of March 16th and culminating on World Water Day, March 22nd. All donations to the TAP Project will help UNICEF water programs, which provides clean, safe drinking water to children around the world.
